New Jersey Devils eliminated by Carolina Hurricanes
What can you say about an elimination like this? So close and then its suddenly over. A little over a minute, just 80 more seconds... and suddenly your season is over. How did it happen? The clock said 1:20 to go, Devils leading Hurricanes 3-2 and suddenly its 4-2 and the New Jersey Devils season was over. No question, the Hurricanes just wanted it more, and the Devils just don't have the defense to handle a dynamic, tough team like the Hurricanes. Maybe next year...

Devils beat Leafs in snoozer
We DVRed the Giants and headed out to he Prudential Center for Devils/Leafs action - and we've never been so bored in our lives. Worst of all, we forgot the camera.
It was a close game, but it was hard to keep your eyes open - the Devils kept failing to execute in front of the net in the first period and the game went scoreless for two periods. There was more action during the 'Mites on Ice' game (which also went scoreless). Finally, the scoring began in the 3rd period and the Devils hung on to win - but it wasn't the lack of scoring that made this game nearly unwatchable. The Devils just never seemed to execute what they wanted to do and Leafs... there's reason why they're in last in their division. It's easy to see why America tunes out on hockey: it seems like the talent base turned its back on it, too.
